Dear Families

We have had confirmation that the European elections will now take place on Thursday 23rd May 2019.

School will be closed to students as The Meadows is used as a polling station.

Many congratulations to Cheryl Talbot following her wedding day, which took place during the Easter holiday.

We also send congratulations to Elisha Benain on the safe arrival of a daughter, to Samantha Coley on the safe arrival of a daughter also and to Lorraine Gould on the safe arrival of a son. All mothers and babies are doing well.

We have to say goodbye to Chenazah Salmon our Apprentice Receptionist, we wish her well for the future.

Simba the therapy dog is on site visiting students who have permission to see him this week.

There is a new memorial sculpture, which will be installed prior to the forthcoming celebration of life event on 15th May.

It is with great sadness that on Friday 12th April 2019, one of our wonderful ex-students, Liam McWiliams, sadly passed away. On behalf of the entire school, we would like to express our condolences to the family at this extremely difficult time. We are keeping Liam and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

Liam was a well-loved member of the school community. He left The Meadows in July 2018.

Staff, governors and families send their thoughts and heartfelt wishes to Liam’s family, especially on Friday 28th June 2019, which marks Liam’s 20th birthday.

If you would like to share any cards or letters of condolence, please send these to the school office before Wednesday 8th May so we can arrange delivery to the family. Liam’s father has advised us that a Just Giving page has been created in memory of Liam should you feel you would like to make a donation.

Yours sincerely,

Ms Rupe Virk
