Within the first two days of every COVID related absence (whether due to: an individual student isolating / a partial school closure / a full school closure), class teachers will contact their students and families by telephone. During this initial conversation, teachers will provide educational ideas to the families that address their child’s individual targets. They can also share any physical work / resources that they have planned to be delivered to the family, plus signpost any possible online provision. Class teachers will arrange with the family to make subsequent, weekly telephone conversations. These calls will allow teachers to check how well their students are doing on their identified learning tasks and provide adaptations / extension tasks.
