The Meadows School works with a variety of organisations in order to give a immersive experience of different jobs and opportunities in life.
We have fantastic partnerships with The Birmingham Repertory Theatre, The Open Orchestra, WBA Foundation, Dudley Canal and River trust. Our partners work with students across the school throughout the academic year.
The Meadows Sixth form are working with the Black Country Partnership which offer work experience placements across two sites. These jobs will have a focus on independence and experiencing the world of work outside the school setting. These roles are in Catering where students label, prepare and serve food to the residents and in reception where they will meet and greet visitors to the building.
We currently have 3 students offsite, once a week completing their placement hours where they will have the chance to work with an employer to enhance and develop their role in the organisation. Across the year students not taking part in placement will have taster days at the employer, where they can experience a role and try an aspect of work they would like to try.
If you are an employer and would like to work with our school to provide work opportunities please contact Helen Rose or Ashley Furness.
