This position maybe based at either of the sites.
Salary: Grade E,SCP 18-25, £30,559 - £35,235 (Actual Salary £24,054 - £28,569 p.a.)
An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Meadows for a Pastoral Support Worker. We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and experienced person to join us.
The successful applicant will have a number of responsibilities including supporting the pastoral; welfare of our students. To work directly with staff, students and parents to provide early help, safeguarding support and promoting student attendance.
We are looking for:
An organised individual, enthusiastic and dynamic who has experience of working with students with complex and profound needs, families and other external organisations. You will be a part of a well-established pastoral team providing comprehensive pupil welfare service to the school. The post holder will also become a trained Designated Safeguarding Lead. Please note full training will be given:
- an enthusiastic person with real passion for working with children with SEND
- Has a passion for working and supporting children
- Has high expectations of pupils’ and be committed to making a real difference to our students learning outcomes
- Is flexible and open to new ideas
- Is a team player
- Will fully support the ethos and aims of our schools
- Be a Level 4 qualified higher level teaching assistant or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, BTEC, NNEB or equivalent
- GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C or Grade 4
